Job summary

M&K Accountants, a London-based firm, seeks an Accounts Admin Intern to gain practical experience in accounting and finance. You will work closely with experienced staff and support financial document preparation, records management, and client invoicing.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing an accounting or finance degree, detail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to stay for more than six months. Excel proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other documents.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
• Support budget preparation and forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Handle general administrative tasks (filing, data entry, calls).
• Assist with client invoicing and timely payments.
• Liaise with clients and respond to queries professionally.
• Assist with tax returns and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in team meetings and suggest process improvements.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
