The Finance Accountant will play a key role in the Accounting & Finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance in the life science industry. This position, based near Reading, requires expertise in managing financial processes and delivering reliable analysis to support decision-making.

• Prepare and review accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes effectively.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse financial data and provide insights.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.
• Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and implementing best practices.

Profile

A successful Finance Accountant should have:

• A recognised qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Knowledge of UK & German GAAP
• Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
