Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd is seeking a Final Test Engineer for a Cambourne-based role. The position is temporary with hours 7:15am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and an hourly rate of 17.52.

You will test products in line with procedures to meet deadlines and manufacturing targets, assembling and testing, fault-finding, and maintaining test equipment. ISO standards compliance and process improvements are expected.

Qualifications

• Required GCSE Maths and English.
• Qualification in Electronics or Mechatronics (Time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or 4-year apprenticeship).
• Experience using MS Windows in a test environment.
• Able to work in an electromechanical test environment and follow test specs.
• Experience fault-finding on electronic or electromechanical systems.
• Proven ability to test, calibrate and operate complex electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assembly, sub-assembly and testing of products.
• Trouble-shoot malfunctions and perform basic modifications as needed.
• Maintenance of test equipment.
• Contribute to Lean activities and continuous improvement.
