Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector in Coventry for a 6-month assignment with extension potential. You will inspect parts from components to assemblies, ensuring conformance to drawings and work instructions.

The role emphasizes GD&T, data collection via SAP and related tools, and timely NCR reporting. Candidate will read engineering drawings, use calipers, micrometers, and Faro Arm for measurements, and collaborate with ERP systems to support continuous improvement and process

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret drawings and specifications to confirm conformity.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and tolerance analysis.
• Experience performing inspections on components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts in line with work instructions and documentation.
• Designate quality release to meet customer expectations.
• Read drawings/specs and relate to product for conformity.
• Use manual and machine inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers etc.).
• Raise NCR/QN with clear problem statements.
• Interact with ERP and data collection tools (SAP, Visual FAI).
• Maintain Safety, Quality, TPM and 5S activities.
• Support Continuous Improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Lead basic team improvement activities as required.

Job description

Duration: 6 Months - Extension Available

Location: Coventry

Role Purpose:

To inspect a variety of product within the Thermal Value Stream to confirm conformance and control any non-conformance through relevant procedure.

Main Responsibilities:

• Inspection of parts (from component parts to full assemblies) in line with company procedures and documentation such as work instructions, engineering drawings, and inspection control plans.
• Designated Quality Release (DQR) of parts to customer expectations.
• Ability to read drawings & specifications and relate them to the product to determine conformity.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance GD&T
• To be flexible to cover the full scope of skills in order to meet the needs of the whole business
• To work under time sensitive targets and goals that ensures product flows efficiently through the business.
• Ability to use manual & machine inspection measuring equipment, typically calipers, micrometers, faro arm, XRF technology and hardness testing.
• The ability to raise NCR/QN documentation with clear problem statements.
• Interact with business ERP system and data collection software including SAP, Visual FAI and any other business tool.
• Maintain and carry out Safety, Quality, TPM and 5 s activity.
• Ability and Attitude to develop and improve processes via Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving
• Ability to plan and conduct product process audits.
• Ability to lead basic problem-solving and team improvement activities.
• Operate as part of a team that makes the most effective use of Inspection resource.
