Job summary

Princes Group is seeking a proficient machine operator to run a filler on the production line in Cardiff. You will perform cleaning, routine checks, and operator maintenance to ensure quality finished cartons while minimising waste and maximising machine efficiency.

The role requires adherence to health and safety, correct packaging usage, and clear documentation. It involves three shift work within an onsite production team and supports site delivery and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient in cleaning, operating and carrying out operator maintenance of the filler.
• Able to operate all packaging equipment on the filling line.
• Literate and numerate for checks and recordings.
• Basic food hygiene training.
• Aware of emergency procedures.
• Aware of safety implications of hazardous materials and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all machine operator functions on a filler to produce quality finished cartons.
• Carry out routine checks and tests to a defined schedule.
• Maintain safe operating environment and minimise wastage.
• Ensure correct packaging and carton coding.
• Keep Filler area clean and follow clean as you go policy.
• Communicate issues to the Team Leader and plan with Servicer/Supplier.
