Defour Partnership is working with a fantastic Scottish charity recruiting for a Trusts & Grants Fundraiser.

Working alongside the Community Fundraiser and the Corporate & Events Fundraiser, the Trusts and Grants Fundraiser will play a crucial role in realizing the charity's vision and mission for people in Scotland.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Trusts and Grants Fundraiser seeking flexibility, with strong research, analytical, and creative writing skills. Join a well-regarded, passionate charity making a significant difference in people's lives.

Main Purpose of the Post: The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser will secure transformational income from charitable grants, trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies through compelling applications, supporting the charity's service provision across Scotland.

What's on offer:

  • Salary – £32,000 plus up to 5% pension contribution
  • 35 hours per week (flexible working supported)
  • Home-based with occasional meetings across Scotland

Key responsibilities:

  • Secure income from medium to large grants, trusts, and foundations against targets
  • Research, prepare, and submit funding bids, including budgeting
  • Complete applications within deadlines to high standards
  • Engage with staff, volunteers, families, and board members to develop case studies and narratives for funding and social media
  • Support service delivery to meet funder criteria
  • Analyze data for reporting purposes
  • Produce timely reports for funders
  • Communicate with funders as needed
  • Provide outcomes and statistics to funders
  • Maintain and develop a pipeline of prospects
  • Contribute to long-term fundraising strategy
  • Represent the charity confidently at external meetings
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns and other duties as required
  • Adapt workload flexibly to organizational needs

Skills and experience required:

  • Relevant education to fulfill role requirements
  • Knowledge of the Scottish trust and foundation funding landscape
  • Minimum two years' experience in trust and grants fundraising
  • Proven success in writing funding bids and proposals
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office suite
