Job summary

HSL Compliance seeks a Water Treatment Engineer to join the mobile field team. Field-based role with a company van supplied; you will lead pre-commission cleaning, system flushing, chemical dosing and disinfection across high-profile sites, ensuring BSRI A BG29/ BG50 and ACOP L8/HSG274 compliance.

You will test water, record certificates, read drawings, and coordinate with site managers on progress. Travel regionally, hold a UK driving licence and CSCS card; training, leave, and pension are

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on experience in pre-commission cleaning, system flushing and chlorinations.
• Familiarity with BSRIA BG29, BG50, BS8552, ACOP L8 and HSG274.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics on site.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work flexible hours.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
• Hold a valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Able to pass standard site security clearances/ DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-commission cleaning and dynamic flushing of closed-loop heating and chilled water networks per BG29/BG50.
• Carry out chemical cleaning including descaling of plant, boilers, heat exchangers and pipework.
• Conduct mains disinfections and chlorination of domestic water systems per ACOP L8 and HSG274.
• On-site testing, sampling and dosing with closed-system monitoring in line with BS8552.
• Complete all site reports, certificates and logs accurately and promptly.
• Interpret drawings, coordinate access with site managers and communicate progress.
