Job summary

iM Med Ltd. is seeking a Validation Technician to support hospital and client sites across the South Region. The role is home-based with travel to venues for testing and validation of decontamination equipment, reporting to the Service Area Manager.

You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnose faults, and deliver clear validation reports while engaging with clients on-site and over the phone. A strong engineering background and excellent communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ work experience, ideally in an engineering role.
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Confident IT skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus experience of working with databases.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable dealing with clients by phone and face to face.
• A methodical, proactive approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, periodic testing and validations of client equipment.
• Investigating faults, then repairing or modifying machines on site.
• Giving first-line technical advice to clients over the phone.
• Carrying out site surveys and advising clients on utilities, services and applications.
• Completing retrofits, upgrades, modifications and safety recalls.
• Supporting our Technical Team with installation and commissioning projects.
• Producing clear, timely validation and periodic test reports.
