Job summary

CMS2 is seeking a hands-on Test and Commissioning Engineer to bring our air purification systems to life. You will test, commission and validate equipment, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations, with occasional on-site work in Portsmouth and UK-wide travel.

Essentially you will perform electrical, hydro/pressure and functional tests, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to design improvements while upholding health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ/HNC qualification in engineering is required or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship in relevant engineering field.
• Previous test & commissioning experience in a highly regulated industry (process engineering).
• IOSH Working Safely certification is desirable.
• Ideally able to read and interpret process drawings and procedures.
• Good hands-on electrical and mechanical skills.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, test, commission and maintain complex process equipment.
• Carry out low- and high-pressure testing and electrical testing.
• Perform pre-commissioning checks, functional testing and performance validation.
• Conduct tests in Portsmouth and on-site when required.
• Use basic test equipment and record results per procedures.
• Investigate problems, diagnose faults and support maintenance.
• Run system demonstrations with customers and ensure safety standards.
