Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a Field Technology Technician to support on-site deployment of automation and communications systems across projects. The role demands hands-on field experience across automation, IT configuration, and electrical panel assembly, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include PLC/SCADA programming, configuring industrial networks, troubleshooting, and commissioning, with travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in PLC programming, configuration, and diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
• Experience configuring industrial IT devices including switches, routers, firewalls, gateways and embedded industrial PCs.
• Hands-on experience building electrical and electronic cabinets, wiring, cable routing and hardware installation.

Responsibilities

• On-site PLC programming, configuration, diagnostics, and commissioning.
• Configure industrial SCADA systems, mapping, alarms and testing.
• Configure IT devices: switches, routers, firewalls, gateways and embedded PCs.
• Read electrical diagrams, assemble electrical cabinets and panel layouts.
• Travel to construction sites for installation, integration, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with engineering and site teams; prioritize safety and quality.
