Job Description:

Radio Technician - South East

Embark on an exhilarating journey alongside our dedicated multiskilled Radio and TV Broadcast Engineering Team. Your role involves fault-finding, maintenance, and support for vital broadcast systems such as DAB, FM/AM Radio, and Freeview Television, ensuring seamless operations that connect and entertain society.

Location: Travel required around South East, Crystal Palace, and surrounding areas

Total Package:

  • Up to £34,000 base salary
  • 10% Shift Allowance
  • Paid Overtime
  • Company vehicle
  • 5% pension contribution

  • 25 days annual leave

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in an on-call rota for 24/7 fault response
  • Complete planned works and maintenance on broadcast systems
  • Respond to faults and outages, perform corrective maintenance
  • Support upgrades and modifications of RF systems and networks
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Conduct testing and measurements to ensure compliance
  • Engage with customers and build positive relationships
  • Career progression towards engineering roles

Preferred experience:

  • Clean driving license
  • Knowledge of broadcast, IP Network, IoT, or corporate applications
  • Knowledge of RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms
  • Understanding of power supplies, environmental controls, electronics
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Willingness to work away from home
  • Electrical qualifications (NVQ level 3) are a plus but not required
