Neos Networks is seeking a Field Technician/Engineer to support critical telecoms infrastructure across Havant and surrounding sites. The role involves safe, compliant access to substation assets and hands-on network maintenance, fault restoration, inspections and project delivery.
You will work at client sites with a focus on Cat 3 authorisation and high voltage environments, while upholding safety standards and company procedures. A driving licence is essential.
Neos Networks offers alternative working arrangements that give employees some flexibility, including office, home and hybrid working.
Neos Networks is seeking experienced engineers with a proven background working within operational electricity substations. This role is focused on providing safe and compliant access to critical telecoms infrastructure located within high-voltage transmission and distribution environments.
We are particularly interested in candidates who hold a current SSEN Category 3 (Cat 3a) Authorisation or equivalent utility substation authorisation and have experience operating safely within live electrical environments.
Our telecoms network forms part of the critical communications infrastructure supporting utility and enterprise customers across the UK. Many of these assets are located within operational substations and switching stations, making authorised access and an understanding of substation safety requirements essential.
This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of operational sites, supporting network maintenance, fault restoration, inspections and project delivery activities where substation access is a key requirement.
The successful candidate will be a safety-focused engineer who understands the responsibilities associated with working in critical infrastructure environments. You will be trusted to represent Neos Networks on customer and utility sites, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, professionally and in compliance with site-specific requirements.
More importantly than a broad telecoms skillset, we are looking for individuals who can bring existing substation access capability, utility site experience and Cat 3 authorisation , enabling them to operate effectively from day one.
Note: Candidates holding a current SSEN Cat 3 Authorisation will be strongly preferred, as substation access capability is the primary requirement for this role.
