What You Will Be Doing:

  • Successfully completing a six-month entry level training program that involves in-person, virtual, and online courses and supervised and mentored work in the field.
  • Performing mentored service calls, project tasks, and associated documentation in a timely manner.
  • Performing mentored changes in programming.
  • Terminating cabling in various field locations under mentorship.
  • Performing mentored onsite installations, repair, maintenance, and testing of system components.
  • Educating customers on the correct use and upkeep of their product under mentorship.
  • Providing mentored training to customers or end-user personnel on the operation and maintenance of systems.
  • Troubleshooting customer issues and resolving issues under mentorship.
  • Handling basic customer issues under mentorship and referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Establishing, building, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and team members throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Communicating all progress/changes to the customers, the company, and the technical staff.
  • Coordinating the shipping of project equipment.
  • Acquiring and maintaining required certifications.

Requirements for Success:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer fundamentals to include hardware vs. software, keyboard use, downloading, uploading, and saving data, sending and receiving emails, basic word processing, and general web browsing.
  • Strong and attentive customer service skills.
  • Problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, reliable, highly organized, and punctual.
  • Ability to successfully complete the entry level training program.
  • Ability to demonstrate Ronco’s Values.
  • No previous field technician experience is required.
  • Maintains a clean driving record.
