Salary: Circa £30,534 – depending on skills and experience
Additional benefits: standby payments, business use of company van
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours, Full Time

Join us as a Sewer Technician in Water Recycling Services, where you'll help protect the environment, public health, and maintain critical infrastructure. Your role involves resolving issues like blockages, odours, flooding, and incidents, providing excellent customer service while complying with environmental standards.

As part of our standby roster, you'll handle out-of-hours work to ensure continuous service. Safety is essential; you'll follow health and safety protocols diligently.

Your responsibilities include:

• Operating a high-pressure water jetting unit and CCTV equipment, trained on their use
• Investigating and resolving sewerage issues promptly
• Responding to incidents and conducting maintenance
• Recording feedback accurately via IT systems
• Working mainly alone, engaging with internal and external customers daily

Requirements to be a Sewer Technician:

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions; hands-on experience is beneficial
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Full driving license; a 4.5-tonne license is advantageous (training provided if needed)
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights; maximum weight 113kg due to harness limits; occupational health checks required
