Job summary

W Talent is partnering with a growing specialist business to recruit a Technical Manager for field-based support across the UK. You will work with food manufacturing sites on technical, food safety, and chemical aspects, including audits and compliance.

The role involves travel to customer sites, supporting product trials, documentation, and continuous improvement to ensure audit readiness and high food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Technical, Technical Services, Quality or Food Safety role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and audit requirements.
• Experience supporting food manufacturing sites with audit preparation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical support to food manufacturing clients across the UK.
• Support customers with BRCGS compliance and audit readiness.
• Visit customer sites regularly to assess technical and food safety standards.
• Conduct technical audits and identify areas requiring improvement ahead of audits.
• Support customers with validation activities and supporting documentation.
• Review and maintain technical documentation and compliance files.
• Support product trials and implementation across customer sites.
• Provide technical guidance on product usage and processes.
• Collaborate with hygiene teams to meet technical and compliance requirements.
• Provide training and technical guidance to customer teams.
• Assist with chemical-related queries and practical solutions.
• Swab testing and verification assistance as needed.
• Record and maintain accurate data from visits, trials, audits, and training.
• Support customers with corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with customer technical and operational teams.
• Provide post-sale technical support to ensure standards are met.
• Work with wider teams to support customer requirements.
• Travel extensively across the UK to customer sites.
