Field Support Technician

The candidate will work out of our Tullytown, PA office.

Who We Look For:

We are looking for a career-minded candidate with a high technical aptitude and excellent communication skills. The position needs someone with working mechanical knowledge and the ability to analyze and solve problems to create solutions in an evolving environment. This person will interact with all North American customers mostly by phone or email in the application and use of our products and equipment. The technical support position requires some travel to train and assist our customers in the use of our pumps and systems. They will also be heavily involved with our office staff, on-site engineers, and sales staff. The candidate will train with our technical support manager, sales manager, and engineers. Our technical department (again NOT an IT position) is aligned with our sales department so effective communication is important.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and diagnose the repair of SEKO pumps and dosing systems using manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assorted tools over the phone.
• Provide installation and technical support for customers and service companies.
• Develop and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and customer relations.
• Update manuals.
• Research and answer any technical questions Regional Sales Managers may have.
• Instruct customers in the use and care of SEKO Dosing Systems equipment.
• Create and conduct technical training on products for customers and the sales team.
• On-site installations of our Industrial laundry systems.
• Create Demo Systems.
• Assist with technical component issues on our manufacturing floor.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Mechanical inclination is required - must be able to grasp mechanical concepts, troubleshoot problems, and perform hands-on tasks related to the company’s equipment.
• Technical Knowledge: must have a good understanding of mechanical principles, including how machines and systems work, and be knowledgeable about various mechanical components and their functions.
• General electrical or plumbing knowledge.
• Travel is required.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently with minimal oversight.
• A willingness to work in a startup environment with occasional shifting priorities, and in which standards and procedures are important and are still evolving.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT).
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
• Working knowledge of computer software.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage difficult customer situations.
• Comfortable presenting to groups.
• The ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not necessary.
