Job summary

McCormick & Company is seeking a Field Support Merchandiser to cover the Glasgow area. You will visit supermarkets, manage relationships and ensure planogram compliance while keeping shelves stocked.

The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday with occasional overnight stays and Christmas peak. A full UK driving license is essential and you will be paid a base salary of £27,840 with a company van and fuel card.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage own time to deadlines.
• Willingness to stay away from home when required (accommodation and meals covered).
• Positive can-do attitude in-store relationships.
• Experience in merchandising, retail or hospitality is a plus.
• Comfort with using technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage store contact relationships within major supermarkets (Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons).
• Use technology to maintain product availability and record in-store execution.
• Collect and deliver stock to stores daily to ensure 100% shelf availability and plan compliance.
• Maintain store records including inventory.
• Support other brands in the McCormick family when required.

Schwartz is currently looking for a full-time Field Support Merchandiser to cover Glasgow area.

Working 40-hrs each week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Saturday and Sunday rest days) this role allows for some flexibility, especially with start time. No Sunday work scheduled, only required at Christmas and double time is then paid. Some staying away from home is a requirement of this role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and manage store contact relationships within the major supermarkets such as Tesco, ASDA and Morrisons.
• Use technology to maintain availability and record great execution in store.
• Collect and deliver stock to stores each day to ensure 100% availability of product on shelf and compliance to store plans.
• Take full responsibility for maintaining store records including inventory.
• Support when required other brands in the McCormick family.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Full UK driving license (essential), the right to work in the UK and a have a UK bank account.
• Be able to work unsupervised and manage their own time to meet the required deadline.
• Be prepared to stay away from home when required (accommodation and meal expenses covered).
• Have a positive “can-do approach” managing relationships and expectations in stores.
• Enjoy being out on the road and working independently.
• Work as part of a wider team sharing ideas and good practice to drive business success.
• Put the customers’ needs at the centre of everything they do.
• Be confident with using technology.
• Enjoy the physical elements of this role.
• Previous merchandising, retail or hospitality (e.g. bar staff, waiting staff) experience is seen as an asset.
