Job description

Salary: £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced field engineer who is interested in creating both innovative engineering solutions and fostering strong customer relationships? You will be part of a team providing high-quality field and support engineering services to a global customer base, as well as the clients' engineering development teams.

About the Role:

The position will be part of a collaborative team, with opportunities to work in different regions to support customers onsite. Responsibilities will include all pre/postproduction activities such as supporting design, integration, assembly, and testing activities, as well as performing electronic tasks such as soldering, wiring, PCB assembly, and adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Must be fully prepared to work anywhere in the UK and in territories where customers are located. Will involve global travel.
  2. To work with and support customers in respect of a full range of pre, production, and post-production onsite enquiries and tasks.
  3. To troubleshoot and resolve problems in respect of motors and drive systems.
  4. To offer guidance and support to customers to achieve test, production, and delivery targets and deadlines.
  5. To provide "real time" formal feedback to engineering colleagues in respect of field service operations and outcomes from tasking.
  6. To develop "best practice" ways of working, in line with a Continual Improvement ethos.
  7. To ensure data and documentation is accurate and regularly updated to reflect progress against plans and procedures.
  8. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment reflective of HSE principles.

Qualifications:

  1. Relevant Engineering qualifications in a key discipline.
  2. Or proven track record/experience in a related field.

  1. Troubleshooting.
  2. Electronic-based tasks - integration/assembly/soldering/wiring.
  3. PCB build and adjustments.
  4. Proven experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  5. Proven track record of results delivery and effective personal performance.
