Job summary

Social Interest Group is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead ECCS teams across community settings, delivering outreach and person-centred support to participants. You will support the Service Manager and provide leadership to the team while ensuring high standards of service quality and compliance.

The role is based in Brighton and Hove with some Islington office days, requires driving, and is 37.5 hours per week on a 6‑month fixed-term contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

  • Strong IT aptitude with common software tools.
  • Understanding of mental health, addiction, homelessness, and criminal justice contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support staff, perform assessments, and liaise with partners.
  • Line management and leadership across the service, promoting wellbeing and development.
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery, drive quality, performance and improvements.
  • Ensure contract and regulatory compliance and support monitoring activities.
  • Own risk management processes and policy adherence.
  • Handle contract administration and general duties as required.

Job description

Location: Based within Brighton and Hove. The role is around 70% based within the community visiting participants and staff, then some home working and central office days in Islington as required. As the role involves regular travel between participants, community locations, and other sites, applicants who are able to drive are preferred.Please be kindly aware there is no step free access at our central office or at some of our other sites.

Shift Pattern: 6 Month Fixed Term contract, with potential to extend. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, with flexibility to work around these hours as per service and participant requirements, including working on bank holidays and outside these hours as per service requirements.

About the role

We are seeking a Field Supervisor to support the Service Manager and Deputy Service Managers in leading our ECCS (Equinox Community Care Support) which is based in Brighton and Hove with some home working and central office days in Islington. The service supports people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system. We are looking for a Field Supervisor to lead a team who are dedicated and focused to providing support to our participants within the community. The team provide person centred care and support to our participants within the community, homes, and residential properties. The team support our participants to achieve greater independence, providing effective outreach support to vulnerable adults to assist with tenancy sustainment, independent living, and promoting self reliance.

You will provide leadership to your team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will work alongside the Service Manager to deliver the highest standards of service quality, performance, and improvements across your service(s). You will be responsible for ensuring full contract and regulatory compliance is completed, and support the Service Manager in the implementation and delivery of service monitoring and development.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Be supporting the establishment of supporting staff and participants, doing assessments, working with partners, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly by carrying out quality checks.
  • Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle, fostering a supportive leadership culture focused on staff wellbeing, learning, and development
  • Support the Service Manager and Deputy Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service. Delivering the highest standards of quality, performance, and improvements across your service.
  • Be responsible for ensuring full contract and regulatory compliance is completed, and support the Service Manager in the implementation and delivery of service monitoring and development
  • Ensure Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
  • Manage contract and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
About you

We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our participants, and can support the team in delivering excellence. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!

  • Previous professional or lived experience supporting people whoMental Health, Substance Misuse, Learning Disability and Forensic Clients.
  • Ability to lead a team to achieve service KPI's
  • Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team on all aspects of the service such as participant related enquiries which can include housing management.
  • Ability to promote the service externally to enhance reputation across London and with partner organisations
  • Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and participants
  • Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
  • Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system
