An educational charity is seeking a tutor to turn passion for nature into a seasonal role starting February 2026. Turn your passion for nature and learning into a seasonal adventure - join us as a Tutor from February 2026.
Established in 1943, our network of Learning Locations provides day and residential outdoor education courses for all ages. We aim to create outstanding opportunities for everyone to learn about nature.

This role will see you working with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities to deliver curriculum-linked activities that will increase students understanding of nature and the environment.
Your day to day will include developing, planning, and delivering courses in outdoor teaching sites to students on science and geography school trips. This will involve leading groups of all abilities in the local environment, ensuring you always have the health and safety of the group in mind.
When you are not working in the field, you will also be happy to contribute to other aspects of working in a busy education centre. This is a very active role, some weeks will be long and tiring, but our tutors find this work very rewarding, and we promise you will too!

Flatford Mill is the Field Studies Council\'s first centre, set in the heart of the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by meadows, woodland and the River Stour, it combines centuries-old buildings - including Willy Lott's House, made famous by Constable's Haywain, and the medieval Valley Farm - with a landscape rich in history and learning opportunities.
Wildlife is part of everyday life here: kingfishers along the river, barn owls over the fields, dragonflies over the ponds, and even otters in the waterways. You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and some previous experience of teaching or tutoring. You will also be confident with producing and preparing various learning resources. In addition, you will have:
