Job description

We’re proud to be a Living Wage accredited employer, ensuring we pay well above the National Minimum Wage. Our pay rate is £12.60 per hour, with opportunities for paid overtime during peak periods (6-day working).

Full-time fixed-term contract available until October 2025.

Accommodation & meal packages are available at a generous rate, with zero charges for bills or utilities.

Being a Field Studies Instructor

Working with kids requires energy, confidence, and effort, but it’s never boring. Our centres provide spectacular locations for taking the National Curriculum out of the classroom. As a PGL Field Studies Instructor, you will bring the natural world to life, introducing guests to learning concepts through outdoor experiences.

Are you a PGL person?

You need a degree in Geography, Biology, or a similar subject, and experience working or volunteering with children, such as guiding, coaching, or youth work. We value character traits such as:

  • Passion for adventure and the outdoors
  • Friendliness and team spirit
  • Determination and resilience (especially during peak periods)
