Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is representing a market-leading, digital-first structural surveying consultancy seeking a Structural Engineer to join their Building Consultancy division covering regional projects in East Anglia.

The role is field-based with hybrid working options and a salary starting at £50,000+ DOE. You will inspect residential, commercial, and historic buildings, diagnose defects, and produce live on-site reports using tablet-based technology, delivering clear remedial

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years' experience in structural inspections/defect diagnosis.
Strong knowledge of building pathology and structural damage mechanisms.
Experience with insurance-related surveys is highly advantageous.
Proficient with digital reporting tools and tablets.
Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Undertake structural inspections across residential, commercial, and heritage buildings
Diagnose defects including subsidence, movement, fire and storm damage
Produce live digital reports on-site, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Provide remedial specifications and technical recommendations
Manage and contribute to insurance claim reporting processes
Liaise with insurers, clients, and contractors to ensure service excellence
Maintain high standards of technical delivery aligned with KPIs and SLAs
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within a digital-first environment
