Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Field Based Stock Coordinator to support a major stock optimisation programme across South Wales and South West England. You will travel between depots, conduct stock audits, identify surplus materials and help maximise asset utilisation before new purchases.

The role is field-based, mainly on-site with some depot visits, and offers a company car and fuel card for business use. Start ASAP for 6 months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Stock control, inventory management, stores, or asset audit experience.
• Experience carrying out stock counts or inventory investigations.
• Comfortable working in depot, warehouse, engineering or operational environments.
• Strong Excel and data-entry skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel across South Wales and South West England.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical stock checks and asset inspections.
• Verify stock location, condition, and usability; reconcile with records.
• Identify excess, obsolete, or damaged materials and redeploy where possible.
• Support stock allocation decisions and redeployment across sites.
• Produce weekly progress updates and maintain governance records.
