Job Summary:

The Field Services Manager – Fire Damper Remedials oversees the delivery of remedial works related to fire dampers in various buildings. Responsibilities include managing field engineers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, coordinating with clients, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and to high standards.

This is a field-based role requiring site visits and occasional overnight travel. Office and administrative tasks will be necessary for scheduling and reporting. Flexibility with working hours is expected to meet project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage fire damper remedial projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate remedial jobs based on survey findings and compliance reports.
• Ensure all works meet fire safety standards, building codes, and company procedures.
• Supervise and support field teams for safety, technical accuracy, and efficiency.
• Conduct site visits to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
• Interpret inspection reports to plan remedial actions.
• Provide technical assistance on-site as needed.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.
• Conduct quality assurance to meet standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including reports and certifications.
• Monitor performance metrics and ensure KPIs and safety standards are met.
• Identify training needs and support staff development.
• Coordinate between field operations and internal departments.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 in Ventilation Installation or equivalent.
• Experience in fire damper installation, inspection, or remedial works.
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations (e.g., BS 9999, BS EN 1366-2).
• Experience with RAMS, permit systems, and safety protocols.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving license (or applicable).
• CSCS card (preferred).
• Industry certifications (e.g., FDIS, FIA) are advantageous.
• Familiarity with CAFM or digital reporting tools.
• Project management qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, PRINCE2) are a plus.
