Job Title: Field Services Engineer ITSM - Break/Fix - HP / Lenovo / Dell

Location: Wrexham (North Wales) Chester Region / South of Merseyside River

Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 per annum + Company Car + Fuel Allowance

Additional compensation: OOH rota, on-call, and OT

Must have 5 years UK residency, be able to obtain DBS, BPSS & SC clearances, hold a Full UK Driving licence

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Field Services Engineer to join our team. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of IT equipment, including servers, storage systems, PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, peripherals, and point-of-sale systems across various customer locations in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer sites to provide on-site IT support
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain IT hardware and systems
  • Install, move, and modify IT equipment at client sites
  • Perform troubleshooting and installations of software and hardware
  • Follow documented procedures and provide feedback for improvements
  • Maintain safety and ESD precautions
  • Complete documentation accurately and provide updates after visits
  • Participate in on-call rota (mornings, evenings, weekends) with allowances
  • Support IT teams as needed
  • Work overtime when required (rates apply)
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience with IT hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair, including data center equipment
  • Ability to configure software per client specifications
  • Vendor certifications (Dell, Lenovo, IBM, HP) or experience willing to obtain them
  • Understanding of hardware maintenance and break/fix procedures
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Eligible for UK security clearances (SC, NPPV3)
  • Attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Methodical, reliable, with a first-time fix attitude
  • Self-motivated, professional, team player
  • Results-driven with a history of exceeding targets
  • Physically capable of lifting equipment and working in confined spaces
