Company & Role A dynamic and expanding diesel engine supply, service, and repair company which has gained an excellent reputation in the marine industry.

We are looking for a driven Field Service Engineer to join the marine team carrying out major overhauls on medium and high-speed engines.

  • Location: Supporting work in Scotland and globally as required

The role is based out of Central and East Coast of Scotland, but it is a requirement of this role that the job holder will be prepared to travel throughout Scotland and globally as required, sometimes at short notice with anti-social hours when vessels are in port.

Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out major medium and high-speed engine overhauls as a key member of a larger team or on solo assignments
  • Perform assigned tasks to an agreed timescale
  • Conduct fault finding and identify solutions
  • Daily contact with customers on site with progress updates and work scope variations on solo assignments
  • Medium and high-speed engine and ancillary equipment knowledge
  • Management skills including motivation, training, and development
  • Ability to lead major engine overhauls
  • Marine and offshore industry experience
  • QHSE knowledge
