Field Service Engineer, Wiltshire/Dorset

Company profile:

One of the UK’s largest providers of Diesel Generators is currently expanding and is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join them on their journey.

A family-run business, they have grown from a small yard to five depots across the country, with one of the UK’s largest supplies of state of the art generators as well as specialist transport fleet.

They’re committed to sustainability and a greener future, and have rolled out hybrid BESS units, as well as looking into cutting emissions for their customers.

As one of their Service Engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on both customer-owned and rental fleet generators.

Role covers the Wiltshire/Dorset area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Service and maintenance on Diesel Generators.
  2. Fault-finding and remedial work.
  3. Conducting site surveys to work out maintenance requirements.

Necessary experience:

  1. Experience in Generator maintenance/repair.
  2. Full driving licence.
  3. Ideally a relevant certification in Electrical Engineering, Plant maintenance, Diesel fitting, or a mechanical/electrical apprenticeship.

What will you get in return:

  1. Salary up to £37,150.
  2. Significant overtime- with time and a half and double time on offer outside of standard working hours (8-5pm), chance to double the basic salary.
  3. 23 days holiday + Bank holidays.
  4. Van + Fuel card (can be used for personal use).
