Job Details

Location: Dundee, UK (with extensive UK and global travel)

Salary: circa £50k, but accepting all applications

Hours: 37.5 per week with paid overtime required

This is a field role requiring attendance at workshops when not abroad. Currently, approximately 70% of time is spent in workshops, but this may change as more units are deployed.

We cover globally from the UK; most travel is within the UK, but international travel may be necessary. Travel within the UK is usually by company-provided vehicle, with occasional use of personal vehicles (business insurance required). All overseas travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and hire cars/vans, are handled by us.

About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Service Engineer to assist with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of products such as acoustic and electric predator deterrents, electric stunning systems, 3D biomass cameras, and sea lice removal systems.
  • The role involves travel, including periods away from home, with time split between the Dundee workshop and customer sites in the UK and globally. Ability to respond promptly to service and support issues is essential.
  • Experience in the aquaculture, agriculture, marine, or offshore industries is advantageous.
Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment
  • Represent the company professionally when visiting customers
  • Collaborate with the Technical Support team to resolve technical issues quickly
  • Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing colleagues

Experience & Skills
  • Recognized Electrical and/or Electronics Qualification
  • Mechanical engineering experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in industrial electronic/electrical roles in both field and workshop environments

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer support or similar customer-facing experience
  • Attention to detail, especially in assembling equipment for harsh conditions
