Job summary

United Rentals in Brigg is seeking a Field Service Technician (Semi-Skilled Mechanic) to install, commission and hand over rental equipment at customer sites across the region. You will also perform maintenance inspections at the branch, complete checks, and support overtime as needed.

Experience is not essential; full training is provided to develop mechanical skills. A valid driving licence (category B) is essential; HGV is welcome.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence B is essential.
• HGV licence welcome for occasional driving.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Mechanical aptitude; training provided.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic IT literacy for worksheets and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate a van and trailer to deliver, set up and uninstall equipment at customer sites.
• Inspect, maintain and repair equipment before and after delivery.
• Provide customer handover of rental equipment.
• Maintain safety consciousness at all times.
• Load vehicles at the yard and keep them tidy.
• Ensure logs and regulatory records are up to date.
