Job summary

Gardner Denver TA AFS, based in Trafford Park, Manchester, seeks a service/installation technician with mechanical or electrical bias to join a growing service team covering the UK. You will support installation, maintenance, repair and commissioning of compressed air systems, gaining hands-on training while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will work with experienced engineers, servicing compressors, dryers, filtration systems, pipework and ancillary equipment across customer sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship, college qualification, or practical engineering experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with an interest in electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel and learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with planned maintenance (PPM).
• Carry out routine servicing of compressors, dryers, filters and associated equipment.
• Support breakdown diagnosis and repair activities.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Assist with the installation of compressed air equipment and distribution pipework.
• Support commissioning activities under supervision.
• Carry out basic mechanical assembly and installation tasks.
• Help prepare sites, materials and equipment before project commencement.
• Ensure installations meet customer and company requirements.
