Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest-growing rental business in North America, is seeking a Road Mechanic. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment such as aerial work platforms, general construction tools, large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas) preferred
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Possession of mechanic's tools of trade
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual skills may be required depending on location

The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required. Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay ranges from $22.40 to $30.80 per hour, depending on factors such as location, education, and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision plans, 401(k), paid time off, disability and life insurance, flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, and more. Benefits become available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

We also provide time off options such as vacation days, sick days, holidays, and volunteer days, subject to company policies.
