Are you ready to work with a trusted global brand renowned for its commitment to excellence in science and technology?

We’re looking for a Field Service Technician with expertise in Automated Liquid Handling (ALH) systems to support our valued customers across Northern England.

About the Role

As a vital member of our UK service team, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Gilson’s ALH instruments, ensuring optimal performance in laboratories across the life sciences sector. You’ll receive comprehensive training, and while prior experience with ALH systems is a plus, a background in laboratory work is also highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality service and technical support to customers
  • Perform installations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Interpret technical diagrams and documentation
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports
  • Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to meet service goals
  • Support product demonstrations alongside sales representatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety and calibration standards
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with technical knowledge

What You Bring

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency with computers and relevant software
  • Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic schedule
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region (up to 50%), including overnight stays
  • Full UK driving licence
