Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to become an integral part of our Laser Shot Team! This Entry-Level position supports senior technicians by performing field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and service calls for Laser Shot’s firearm simulator products. Please note, this position offers on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support on commercial products to dealers, end users, field technicians, and internal staff, including digital signage, video walls, and peripheral equipment.
  • Support via phone, email, onsite visits, and technical training.
  • Assist Project Management with designing or identifying install components.
  • Install network and A/V cabling, computers, projectors, IP cameras, and other equipment.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Laser Shot components at client sites.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions efficiently.
  • Coordinate equipment installs, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Submit accurate reports and paperwork.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Follow expense reporting procedures and manage travel budgets.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of computer technologies, diagnostics, and mechanical skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills for training large groups, including military and law enforcement personnel.
  • Basic fabrication skills, cable running, rack wiring, and termination.
  • Ability to use test equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer and A/V systems.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 75%).

  • Potential to provide onsite training to support personnel.

Preferred Experience & Certifications:

  • 2-5 years of military experience.
  • Familiarity with firearms and marksmanship training.
  • OSHA 10 training and First Aid certification.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
