OUR CLIENT

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Technical Engineering Specialist based in the North UK and South of Scotland who can travel a few days of the week, joining an international lubricants company.

With their ambitious growth plans, they are looking for new team members who are up to the challenge of making our client a global leader of automotive lubricants, all while making an impact in the industry and communities in which they work.

THE ROLE

This is a customer-facing technical role providing first-class technical engineering and product support. This important position requires regular collaboration with our commercial sales team. As the leading provider of excellence in lubrication & lubrication services, they strive to become the first choice within the markets they serve.

You will complement the current Central Technical Department which includes mechanical engineers, chemists, and application specialists. This role would involve working closely with the Industrial team comprising of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Research & Development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide on-site fluid management at the customer facilities.
  2. Provide service visits and cover at various other customer locations for their 'Total Fluid Management' operations.
  3. Carry out routine technical support visits for the purposes of fluids monitoring and equipment condition monitoring.
  4. Assist with small engineering projects associated with fluids handling e.g. oil storage, pipework, pump installations etc.
  5. Assist with lubrication plant surveys, product trials and machine cleanouts etc.
