Job description

PE Global is recruiting a Field Service Technician for our oil and gas client on a permanent basis based in the Manchester area. The salary for this role is £35,000 per year with a £50/day per diem.
Important:
- Role requires ravel at short notice and can be for extended periods (UK & overseas). Per Diem £50/day.
- Role Requires Completed apprenticeship – CSCS card to be held or able to be obtained.
- Preferably HGV/Heavy Plant Engineering.
- Will be working on sewage /industrial systems.
Responsibilities
• Provide on-site support for service maintenance and workshop tasks.

*This means travel at short notice and can be for extended periods
• Prepare and approve work packs for service team activities.
• Perform mechanical completion checks, factory acceptance tests, electrical function/loop checks, and leak/pressure testing.
• Compile detailed technical reports on customer equipment.
• Deliver aftersales support, including inspections, spare part identification, and technical advice.
• Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
• Travel daily to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G, ONC, HNC). This is to be a completed apprenticeship – CSCS card to be held or able to obtain. Preferably HGV/Heavy Plant Engineering.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems.
• Understanding of industry standards and wastewater procedures.

Will be working on sewage /industrial systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
