Overview
JAB Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Field Service Technician on behalf of our client, a global leader in engineering solutions for the energy, industrial, and environmental sectors. This is a permanent position based in Manchester, offering a mix of site-based and workshop responsibilities, with regular UK and international travel.
This role is ideal for a mechanically skilled professional with hands-on experience in rotating equipment, pumps, vacuum, and pressure systems. It offers a long-term opportunity within a well-established service team, with full training and support provided.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver on-site maintenance and service support for client equipment, including international travel when required Conduct installation, commissioning, and servicing of mechanical and electrical systems Prepare work packs, conduct mechanical completion checks, FATs, loop checks, and pressure/leak testing Compile detailed technical reports on completed activities Provide aftersales support including inspections, spare parts identification, and technical assistance Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and procedures Collaborate effectively with engineering and internal teams Maintain clear and accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools Support continuous process improvement and equipment reliability initiativesRequirements
Completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G, ONC, HNC) Must hold or be able to obtain a valid CSCS card Ideally have experience in HGV or heavy plant engineering Proven experience working with rotating equipment, pumps, vacuum, and pressure systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation Comfortable working with sewage and industrial systems Competent in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookDesirable Skills
