Position: Field Service Technician

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team and support our worldwide operations. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing cutting-edge monitoring systems. This position involves site surveying, installation, repair, and maintenance of monitors and associated network equipment. You will be at the forefront of implementing a revolutionary green technology, presenting both opportunities and responsibilities to overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of insect monitoring systems.
- Site surveying to assess the requirements for effective system implementation.
- Liaising with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and issue resolution.
- Handling and resolving technical issues, serving as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Keeping customers informed of progress and representing the team for many clients.
- Traveling extensively throughout the UK and internationally, covering up to 75% of working time.
- Working in various weather conditions and carrying equipment as required.
- Conducting remote work when not on field visits.
Experience and Skills:
- Troubleshooting experience with complex systems involving software, electronics, and mechanical components.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical terminology to reassure and provide excellent service to customers.
- Capability to perform basic mechanical repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment.
Person Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in a mechanical role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driving license is mandatory.
- Experience in remote diagnostic and technical support solutions in a customer support environment is desirable.
- Willingness to travel globally, sometimes at short notice.
- Experience in a similar environment is advantageous.
- BTEC, C&G, HNC, or similar qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of foreign languages, including Arabic, French, German, Polish, or Portuguese, is beneficial but not essential.
