About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a key role in assembling, maintaining, and servicing NOV Wireline and Flowline equipment both in the field and in local workshops. This includes reading and interpreting engineering drawings, disassembling, reworking, rebuilding, and pressure testing equipment. You will also provide remote technical support via video calls when required. Working as part of a dedicated aftermarket team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality service, on-time project completion, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Essential Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, service, rework, rebuild, and pressure test Wireline and Flowline equipment.
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Identify and document product defects, ensuring compliance with quality procedures.
  • Carry out inspections, functional tests, and rework according to engineering changes.
  • Maintain a safe and organised workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Support NCR/CAPA reporting and contribute to root cause investigations.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, daily briefs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to company health, safety, and quality standards without exception.
Desired Responsibilities
  • Provide remote customer support via video calls.
  • Assist in process improvements and implementation of new techniques.
  • Contribute to maintaining KPIs across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Engagement.
  • Suggest and implement improvement ideas across production and service operations.
Qualifications & Skills

  • Time-served apprenticeship or HNC in a relevant subject.
  • Previous experience maintaining/servicing Wireline Winches & Masts, Pressure Control Equipment, and Control Modules.
  • Proven ability to carry out pressure testing up to 22.5k PSI.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desired Qualifications
  • Higher education in a relevant subject.
  • Working knowledge of assembly and manufacturing environments, including component preparation.
  • Experience with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
