NMS Recruit is seeking an experienced Field Service Project Manager to join a leading OEM in the marine and power sector. You will be responsible for managing and delivering customer service orders, contracts, and LTSA's (Long-Term Service Agreements), covering technical and commercial aspects for UK and overseas projects. The role involves overseeing planning, execution, and invoicing to ensure successful delivery within budget, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Management of Customer Field Service Orders: Handle all aspects from planning to final invoicing, ensuring alignment with contract terms and managing all commercial requirements.
- Managing Customers & Interfaces: Act as the primary contact for service orders, contracts, spares, repairs, and upgrades. Maintain effective communication and attend site visits and meetings as needed.
- Managing Enquiries & Quotations: Evaluate initial enquiries, collaborate internally, prepare detailed quotations, and present bids confidently.
- Mobilising, Delivering & Maintaining Projects: Coordinate activities between stakeholders, manage spare parts and sub-contractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Improving Order Intake: Identify opportunities for growth, understand customer needs, and propose cost-effective solutions.
- Internal Reporting: Maintain records, manage orders in SAP and internal systems, and provide regular KPI and financial reports.
- Managing Project Finances: Oversee costs to achieve margins, collaborate on invoicing, and ensure financial accuracy.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate risks early, maintaining risk and issue registers.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in order/contract management for field and customer service contracts.
- Engineering background with at least 5 years in field service for large industrial/marine equipment or related industries.
- Commercial awareness including contract terms and invoicing.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of technical, commercial, and financial aspects of field service businesses.
- Valid UK Driving License and Passport.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in aftermarket services and sales.
- Proficiency in MS Projects or similar tools.
- Relevant engineering or technical qualification or extensive work experience.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2 or APMP).
