Job Title: Field Service Project Manager

The main purpose of the Field Service Project Manager (FSPM) is to oversee site service activities, including creating technical proposals, detailed planning, and project management. The FSPM acts as a link between the site and the head office/engineering department for troubleshooting, delays, personnel allocation, and project coordination.

Due to growth in the UK water market and our expansion in cryogenic services, Howden UK is opening a new facility in Barlborough, near Sheffield. We are part of Chart Industries and have established businesses across Europe. Our new facility aims to support increased growth in cryogenic repairs and overhauls, establishing ourselves as a key player in the UK market.

What will you do…

• Allocate resources to projects and prepare for tasks.
• Ensure safety and compliance with EHS & quality standards, including site safety inspections.
• Maintain resource planning documentation.
• Coordinate with sales teams and clients to manage inquiries.
• Estimate work based on documents and standards.
• Participate in pre- and post-tender meetings with clients.
• Manage site service projects, including planning and personnel management.
• Monitor project costs, ensure timely payment applications, and close contracts.
• Conduct surveys, audits, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports and training programs for personnel.
• Manage LTSA and Framework agreements.

What do you bring…

• Recognized engineering apprenticeship.
• IOSH Managing Safely or CCSNG Safety Passport.
• Experience managing teams and subcontractors on-site.
• Strong safety focus.
• Practical experience with on-site contracts and planning.
• Estimating experience for mechanical contracts.
• HNC/HND in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with large fans and rotary air heaters is advantageous.
