Field Service Mechanic - Truck and Trailer

Our Head Office branch is currently seeking a Heavy Truck/Trailer Mechanic to assist in maintaining our fleet of modern equipment. We have a well equipped workshop and offer a great working environment with a small & friendly team. We are seeking Workshop Mechanics and also Field Mechanics.

Rentco is a fast growing Heavy Truck & Trailer Hire Business and a great opportunity is now available to join our team. Rentco has recently been acquired by a large private equity firm with significant growth aspirations. The business is run under management of the previous owners of the business and still offers that family feel.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, servicing and testing to company vehicles, trailers and equipment as per company service schedule
• Diagnostic and preventative maintenance and initiatives
• Assist workshop manager and fellow team members

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and experience;

• Full HR Licence
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults
• Previous gearbox, general repairs and servicing duties experience
• Demonstrate a willingness to undertake general repairs within the depot and wash bays
• Understanding of NHVAS requirements, workshop compliance and Australian Truck Safety Standards
• Reliable with a good work ethic
• Motivated and team orientated
• Medically fit and prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol screening
• Experience in ABS/EBS diagnostic tools highly regarded
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug test
• Commitment to working safely with a positive attitude
