Job summary

AES in Cambridge is seeking a Field Service Manager to join a collaborative engineering team and provide advanced technical support for Field Service Engineers across a global installed base of electro‑mechanical systems. Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days on-site at Cambridge.

You will lead investigations, generate diagnostic procedures, support CAPA within the Quality Management System, and drive improvements in customer experience and field performance while coordinating with Product Development

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or time-served engineering experience.
• Experience supporting/troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience carrying out structured root cause investigations.
• Experience in regulated environments (medical devices, robotics, aerospace, defence or similar) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide second and third-line technical support for Field Service Engineers.
• Investigate complex issues using structured root cause analysis.
• Produce diagnostic procedures, service documentation and technical instructions.
• Support CAPA within the Quality Management System.
• Lead improvement projects to enhance customer experience and field performance.
• Support risk management in a regulated engineering environment.
• Act as the technical bridge between Product Development, Quality and Field Service.
