Job description

The Opportunity: Field Service Forklift Engineer

Contract: Permanent (40 hours)

Location: Edinburgh Area

Salary: £36,934+ Overtime, door-to-door payments, and optional call-out

The Impact you will have:

• Attending customer locations to assess the scope of work, prioritise tasks with the end user, and ensure safe working practices.
• Communicating with controllers and customers about work scope, timescales, and costs to ensure clarity.
• Diagnosing breakdowns promptly and obtaining the correct parts cost-effectively, involving the Briggs Technical team when needed.
• Ensuring all work complies with engineering standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Performing inspections during work to ensure equipment safety and performance before handover.
• Identifying additional work and informing the customer, maximising potential revenue from damaged equipment.
• Completing all job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures.
• Raising safety concerns as required.
• Raising at least one estimate for every four services.
• Keeping Work In Progress (WIP) to no more than 10 jobs.
• Ensuring patched trucks are Preventive Maintenance (PM) compliant.
