Job description
Overview

A designer and manufacturer of complex electromechanical safety-critical products for industrial & environmental applications are currently on the lookout for a Field Service Engineering Manager to join the team.

Responsibilities
  • As a key member of the Field Service Team you will contribute to delivering company growth goals and report into the Head of Customer Experience. You will be responsible for specific metrics within the department and for making strategic decisions to improve KPI's. You will be expected to undertake regular nation travel to build relationships with key customers and engineers whilst also providing them with support.
  • Managing field service personnel, providing effective support and assistance
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s and bi-annual appraisals with direct reports
  • Monitor team performance, develop training plans and provide coaching as necessary
  • Acting as a liaison and escalation point, both internally and externally for installation, commissioning and service
  • Continually evaluate and improve field service processes
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Field Service Manager or similar managerial role
  • Strong people manager and the ability to manage a remote team
  • Experience of health and safety requirements
  • Background in Electronics/Electrical
Desirable requirements
  • NEBOSH/IOSH General H&S Certificate
  • Experience working with complex electromechanical devices and equipment
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
