Job summary

Orion Electrotech Sales is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support installation, service, and repair of specialist machinery across the UK. The role involves travel and staying away from home when required, with some overseas opportunities.

You will diagnose faults, carry out maintenance, upgrades and installations, and provide technical support to customers while building strong client relationships. Training and career development are available.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong fault-finding on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Experience at customer sites and ability to report clearly.
• Hands-on, practical approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance and servicing.
• Complete machinery upgrades, modifications and installations.
• Commission equipment and provide technical support to customers.
• Investigate failures and implement effective solutions.
• Dismantle and repair using specialist tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Produce accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver professional service.
