Field Service Engineer – Tank Gauging

We have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer – Tank Gauging to join us at Honeywell in the UK. You will be responsible for successful on-site installation, servicing, and repair processes of complex equipment and systems, following detailed work instructions. You will also amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with the help of Engineering teams and train customers on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. This is a field-based role that requires travel to customer sites.

Key requirements

• Start-up, commissioning, and preventative maintenance along with repairs at customer sites.
• Understanding customer requirements and working closely with them on existing systems.
• Informing the customer about obsolete equipment and encouraging the replacement of old equipment that cannot be repaired anymore.
• Creating accurate reports on all executed activities and findings reported by the customer.
• Using and maintaining all measuring equipment and tools optimally, and calibrating them according to procedures.

Key skills and qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within field services, ideally within the instrumentation sector—knowledge of Enraf would be an advantage.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Full UK Driving License.
