Field Service Engineer – Tank Gauging

We have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer – Tank Gauging to join us at Honeywell, in the UK. You will be responsible for successful on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems, following detailed work instructions. You will amend outdated or incorrect instructions with the help of Engineering teams and train customers on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. This is a field-based role requiring travel to customer sites.

Key requirements

  • Start-up, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and repairs at customer sites.
  • Understanding customer requirements and working closely with them on existing systems.
  • Informing customers about obsolete equipment and encouraging replacement of old equipment that can no longer be repaired.
  • Creating accurate reports on all activities and findings reported by customers.
  • Using and maintaining measuring equipment and tools, calibrating them according to procedures.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role within field services, ideally in the instrumentation sector – Enraf knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
  • Full UK Driving License.
