Job description

Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a leading renewable energy company, a market leader in solar operations, to recruit a Field Service Engineer covering the Cambridgeshire area with occasional travel for business needs. The role involves onsite service and maintenance of large-scale solar assets.

This strategically important Field Service Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £40k plus a vehicle.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Reporting to the Service Team Leader, you will:
  2. Conduct visual inspection activities, cleaning, and report to the management team.
  3. Perform routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables, and connectors, as well as DC and AC distribution boxes.
  4. Carry out routine maintenance on module mounting systems, fences, gates, inverter and transformer stations.
  5. Maintain monitoring and communication equipment.
  6. Maintain security system devices.
  7. Perform fault finding on electrical components through visual inspections or professional site measurement activities.
Professional Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with the following:

  1. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Certification or equivalent.
  2. At least five years' experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
