Job description

KASTO Ltd is the UK company of the global parent company KASTO GmbH, a family-owned German company founded in 1844. We are world leaders in the production of high-quality and performance sawing machines and material storage solutions. Our typical markets include metal producers, stockists, and associated engineering applications. KASTO Ltd's service department covers the whole of the UK, including Northern and Southern Ireland, with full technical support available through UK and German contacts.

We have opportunities available in the North, Midlands, and South to join our busy service team.

Tasks
  • Fault finding and diagnosis
  • Reactive breakdowns
  • Planned maintenance and routine servicing

Requirements
  • Mobile / field-based position
  • Home-based
  • Flexible approach towards overtime and overnight stays when work dictates
  • Multi-skilled required, but electrical bias is preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronics, PLC (Siemens S5/S7), mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • High-level technical or professional qualifications (e.g., HNC / HND) or demonstrable competency such as an apprenticeship
  • IT literate
  • Professionalism in dealing with customers
  • Ability to work with the existing team of service engineers
  • Pride in one’s workmanship and work quality with good attention to detail
Benefits
  • Basic salary starting circa £30K (based on a 40-hour working week)
  • Overtime paid at time and a third after 40 hours

  • No out of hours, evening, or weekend work unless by exceptional cases and prior arrangement
