Job description

KASTO Ltd is the UK company of the global parent company KASTO GmbH, a family-owned German company founded in 1844 and a world leader in the production of high-quality and performance sawing machines and material storage solutions. Our typical markets include metal producers, stockists, and associated engineering applications. The KASTO Ltd service department covers the whole of the UK, including Northern and Southern Ireland, providing full technical support and backup through UK and German contacts.

We have opportunities available in the North, Midlands, and South to join our busy service team.

Tasks

• Fault finding and diagnosis
• Reactive breakdowns
• Planned maintenance and routine servicing
• Unplanned maintenance
• Component replacement
• Installation and commissioning
• Operator training and handover
• Administration and reporting

Requirements

• Mobile / field-based position
• Home based
• Flexible approach towards overtime and overnight stays when work dictates
• Multi-skilled required, but electrical bias is preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, electronics, PLC [Siemens S5/S7], mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics required
• High-level technical or professional qualifications [e.g., HNC / HND] or demonstrable competency such as an apprenticeship
• IT literate
• Professionalism towards dealing with customers
• Ability to work with the existing team of service engineers
• Pride in workmanship and work quality with good attention to detail

• Basic salary starting circa £30K [Based on a 40-hour working week]
• Overtime paid at time and a third after 40 hours
